we wont starve

OMG I just wrote a whole post and it erased it somehow!!!! AARRGGHHH!!

OK deep breath and start again....

We are finally here!  The travels were pretty uneventful, thank goodness, except for the poor young man sitting next to us from Seattle to Houston. Alice kept kicking him in her sleep the whole flight... and let me tell you that girl has a crazy strong kick!  The 4hr car ride from Mexico City to San Miguel (that I was dreading) was actually the best part of the whole trip. Alice finally got to stretch out and get some sleep and I got to watch the colors in the beautiful countryside (did you know satellite dishes don't have to be boring grey! here they get to be blue or pink!) fly by while going the wrong way (on purpose) up an unfinished down on ramp and dodging construction crews, I'm so happy I wasn't driving.


This is how we spent most of the day. Searching through bag after bag with Mommy saying "I know I packed that thing! Now where is it!!!"

At least we did it with a smile on our face :)

When we finally got to the house the owner wasn't there yet but thankfully our wonderful new friends who are living in the villa on the property let us in and fed us amazing pastries. I must find that bakery! After settling into our new home (click on that to see pictures) we went out and about for the first time and......

We wont starve :) I successfully ordered dos enchilada's verde, limonada y cervesa and they were sooo good!!

Then we took our 1st churros to the Jardin sat on a bench and people watched...

All in all a fabulous first day!!
